I was Gordon’s “wrong number” friend and feel privileged to say that Gordon claimed I became his best friend through that accidental relationship. The handsome portrait in his obituary is the first likeness of him I have seen but it it uncannily just as I imagined, radiating his joy, kindness, and intelligence. We shared many long and deep phone conversations, filled with candid reminiscences, regrets and wishes, giggles and tears, our philosophical and spiritual gleanings, and gratitude for life and finding each other. Oh, how I miss him.
