Dover, NH – Laurie “Lolo” P. Brustlin, born on September 28, 1951, in Melrose, MA, passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 72 in Dover, NH. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Brustlin, of Newbury, MA; son, David Brustlin, his wife Meredith, and granddaughter Jules of Rollinsford, NH; sister, Barbara Bellotti, and brother-in-law, Peter Bellotti of Winchester, MA; and four adoring nephews. Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, David and Dee Dee Paul, who passed in 2016, and her brother, MacGregor Paul, who passed in 2018.
Laurie, known fondly as Lolo, had friends from all walks of life and various places she called home, but New Hampshire held a special place in her heart. She was known and loved by many in her community, akin to a beloved mayor, radiating warmth, and fun with a penchant for hugs. Laurie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, particularly her granddaughter, Jules, whom she adored.
A Celebration Of Life gathering in honor of Laurie will take place on April 21 at Flag Hill Distillery & Winery, 297 North River Road Lee, NH from 1-4 pm, with a service at 2 pm.
Instead of flowers, Laurie would want you to express your love to those you value. Please hug your loved ones in honor of her memory.

To Kelly, David and all of Laurie’s family – Mike and I are sending you our deepest sympathies, peace and love as you grieve this terrible loss. We loved Laurie. She was the best neighbor and friend we could have ever asked for and we will hold dear treasured memories of our nearly 16 years together on Linkside Drive. Wine/cocktails on her front porch, prime rib nights, free WiFi in return for IT support, lol, chicken marsala dinners, fun nights at the Clubhouse and too many parties at neighbor’s to count. She will be missed by so many and we are on that very long list. Definitely gone too soon. ❤️ you Lolo. Rest easy dear friend.

As long time “vacation” residents at Owl’s Nest, we too viewed Laurie as the Mayor, but much more than that as a friend with an unlimited supply of hugs, after good conversation about family and friends.

I met Laurie (“Laur” to me) in the third grade when we were both eight years old in Birmingham, MIchigan. She lived just “across the field.” Ours is my oldest, longest lasting friendship. We went to camp together the summer we were 12. We have been friends for 64 years, keeping in touch regularly ever since she moved to New England as a teenager🎂. At age 16, I took a Greyhound bus overnight to visit her in MA. We attended each other’s weddings in 1977 and 1981. My heartfelt sympathy to Barbie and and to Kelly and David.

I am so very sorry for your families loss. She was such a wonderful human and was always in good spirits no matter what she was going through. I will miss my weekly hugs she would give after I was done mowing her lawn.
May she rest in peace and god bless

Mrs. Brustlin was the adult I spent the most time with, aside from my own parents, growing up. Because we lived just down the street, I often invited myself over, and I always felt welcome and loved. I have countless memories of special events & trips, and just everyday time spent together. She loved Kelly and David so, so much. I am so sad you both must grieve her passing, but I smile at the memory of her wonderful spirit and hugs.

We are friends of Laurie from our life in Boxford. Our children grew up together and we have very fond memories of those days. Trips made to Montreal, Bermuda, Long Island and outings on Halloween for the children on Muly.
We are sad that she has passed away so young, we had been trying to set up lunch with her for the past month, trying to pick a day she was free from Dr. visits and treatments.
Rest in peace.
Mary and Jack Fitzgerald.

Dear Kelly and David,
Sending along loving thoughts for comfort and peace as you mourn the loss of your Mom.
Laurie was truly a special person and a wonderful friend to me. I remember when we met, it was the first day of preschool for David B and David H. I’ll always treasure this memory and so many others of the happy times we shared when you were growing up in Boxford.
With heartfelt condolences from all of us,
