She had a wonderful career which I hope she was very proud of. She broke barriers for women and was a true leader. She was quick to chuckle or share a boisterous laugh. Upon retirement she went from a manager to a friend to many of us. She shall be missed very much.
Shelley was in my first trainee group in Van Nuys, CA. From the beginning it was obvious with her intelligence and quick wit, she would go far in the IRS. We both ended our careers on the East Coast, for a time sharing offices down the hall from each other in the JFK Federal Building in Boston. After we retired, our friendship grew, alternating visits between her condo and our house. Rest in Peace, Shelley.
