Hampton – Thomas James Travers, Sr., 66, of Hampton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at home with Joanne, his loving wife of 46 years and Sarah and Cathy of Rockingham VNA at his side.

Born in Methuen, MA, May 28, 1950, Tom was a son of the late Peter and Bernice (Waite) Travers.

Tom retired from the Malden Mills after over 30 years with the company. He loved playing Bingo and lottery tickets and was a diehard Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics fan. He also loved his Local 26614 Firefighters, all the “Bingo Posse” and the Strawberry Festival every July.

In addition to his devoted wife, Joanne (Connors) Travers, Tom is survived by his brother Larry, his wife Maureen, and their son Keith. He also leaves his special extended family members, his cousin Rick Waite and his wife Cara and their sons Rick Jr., James, Jonathan and Nicholas. Tom deeply loved the times he spent with the Waite Family, traveling, partying and holding many cookouts together; his sister-in-law, Maryann Smith and her husband Jim and their children, Jay, Tanya and Kaylah and her daughter, Aurora Liane, Tom’s pride and joy; his cousin Patsy Feali and great niece Mia, whom Tom also treasured very much. Additional family members include aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, his son, Thomas Travers, Jr. and his brother, Peter.

All services will be private.

Tom will be missed by his cousin Rick and his wife Cara and our 4 boys Rick Jr and his wife Justine James and his wife Julie Jonathan and his soon-to-be wife in July Stephanie and Nicholas yes we did have lots of fun with Tom my family enjoyed Tom’s company also he was always full of laughs made us feel good to be around him no matter how he felt. He always enjoyed our company Tom you are going to be Miss but you are now another angel watching down on us. RIP Tom. We Love You.
