Ruth A. Kennedy

East Kingston, NH – Ruth Ann (Ullom) Kennedy, 89, of East Kingston, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024 in Brentwood.

She was born on August 5, 1934 in Melbourne, FL a daughter of the late Rev. Orville D. and Dorothy R. Ullom.  She moved to New England at an early age and graduated from Haverhill High School with of the Class of 1952 and went on to attend the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA.

Employed in the Art Department of Keezer Mfg., Co. in Plaistow, NH, then Western Electric Company in Haverhill and No. Andover, MA, and later Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School also in Haverhill.

Member of First Congregational Church of Kingston, NH and longtime Girl Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack leader in Merrimac, MA. Ruth enjoyed art, painting, gardening and walking.

She was the wife of Richard A. Kennedy of East Kingston, NH.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Karen A. (Kennedy) Podolak and her husband Joseph; sons, David A. Kennedy, Donald R. Kennedy and his wife Susan; sister-in-law, Rebecca Ullom; granddaughters, Kirsten and Kayley Podolak, Morgan, Callan, Catherine, Colleen and Elizabeth Kennedy; grandson, Spencer Kennedy and several nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Richard R. Ullom.

A very loving wife and mother. Loved by her whole family and friends. She will surely be missed by all.

All services will be private.

We are so sorry of the loss of our dear grandmother and mother in law! Our lake times will forever be in our hearts and the times we spent in Florida at Busche Gardens and Tampa! Grammy, you were always a love to be around especially after a few glasses of Rose’! You always said that you wanted to go before Grampy and your father obliged that wish!! We will watch over Grampy for you!! We love you!! Catherine, Colleen, Elizabeth and Maureen. ❤️❤️
