Somersworth, NH – Robert E. Rabideau, 78, of Somersworth, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

He was born in Springfield, VT on April 16, 1942 a son of the late Ernest O. and Merilda S. (Duquette) Rabideau.

Raised in Montpelier, VT he left school early and enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served 4 years aboard the USS Saratoga.

Returning home after serving his country, his working career consisted of various manufacturing jobs. A dedicated employee of Star Lumber in Somersworth, NH he retired after 15 + years as a yard foreman, doing a job he loved very much.

A dedicated family man that loved spending time camping, fishing and woodworking and building his birdhouses just to name a few things he enjoyed. He was a man that always had a smile and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. He was also known for his corny jokes which he shared with everyone.

He shared 38 years with the love of his life Pauline M. (Caplette) Rabideau. 8 of which were married.

In addition to his wife, family members include his children, Michelle Cammett, Lisa Braley and her husband Keith, Raymond Caplette, Michael Rabideau and his wife Joyce, Edgar Rabideau and his wife Barbara and Tina Rabideau; siblings, Marion Brooks, Jane Aucoin, Glenn Rabideau, Ruth Rabideau, Louise Rabideau and Alan Rabideau; grandchildren, Paul Howard Jr., Patrick Cammett, Myka Cammett, Christopher Miller and his spouse Doug, Ryan Braley, Sophia Braley, Michael Issa, Patriot Caplette, Americas Dream Caplette, Nevaeh Caplette, Fable Caplette, Liberty Caplette, Lilli Caplette and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Elaine Knot, Janice Lanpher and brother Ronald Rabideau.
