Raymond Paul Donahue Jr of Salem, NH passed away on January 15, 2020 in Salemhaven long-term care facility after a month-long hospitalization. Born in Lawrence, MA, he was raised in Salem and graduated from Woodbury HS in 1958. He served in the US Navy following High School. He then worked for 23 years at Sanders Associates in Nashua while living in Mont Vernon, NH. In 1989, he moved to Merritt Island, FL where he worked for Rockwell as a NASA contractor with the Space Shuttle program. Ray and Carol returned to NH in 2004 after his retirement from Rockwell.
He is survived by Carol, his wife of 50 years; two children, Erin Donahue of Troy, VA and Maureen Jeanson of Rochester, NH; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
While in Mont Vernon, he was a volunteer EMT with Amherst Rescue Dep’t, servicing Amherst and Mont Vernon’s emergency rescue needs. He was also an active volunteer with his church homes throughout his life.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, January 22 at 10:00, at All Saints Anglican Cathedral at 69 Friend St, Amesbury, MA. In lieu
