Andover, MA – Paula “Pat” (Titus) Gerhard, 81, formerly from Cape May, NJ, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, after a period of failing health. She was born in Trenton, NJ on March 4, 1942, daughter of the late Stephen and Florence (Smith) Titus.

Pat graduated from Hamilton High School West in 1960.   She lived and worked in Salem, NH then eventually moved to Wildwood, NJ with her late husband, Elglenn Starr “Glenn” Gerhard.   Pat worked for over 20 years at the Reges Oceanfront Resort in Wildwood Crest, NJ and always boasted that she never missed a day’s work to help vacationing families and many of the guests became lifelong friends.   Her love for cats was well noted by her family and neighbors, where she was famous for feeding and playing with any that stopped by her front stoop.

Pat is survived by her nephews George and his wife Karen Anderson of Derry, NH, Tom Anderson of Lowell, MA, Michael Brogan and his wife Kris of MN, and Jimmy and his wife Florence Brogan of NJ, niece Colleen Brogan of NJ, stepson Dale Gerhard of Cape May, NJ, and grandchildren, Samantha, Patrick, Kassy, and Shea Gerhard, plus many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Pat is predeceased by her husband, her sisters Gail Anderson, Marilyn Gessner, and Shirley Brogan, brothers Bruce and Stephen Titus, niece Sheila (Brogan) Walker, and nephew Patrick Brogan.

There are no calling hours.  A memorial service is being planned for later this fall in Cape May, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pat’s name to the Cape May County Animal Shelter, 110 Shelter Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
