MartheAnn MacDougall

Hampton – MartheAnne MacDougall, 77, of Hampton, died peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.

She was born in Washington, DC on February 23, 1940 a daughter of the late William Edward “Ted” Keegan II and Jacqueline (Cote) Keegan.

Raised in Pelham, NY, she spent her summers and holidays at the Cote family home on Campbell Street in Warren, RI, where many dear friends and family lived.  Following graduation from Pelham Memorial High School and the Berkeley School of Secretarial Training, she went on to become an executive secretary for IBM, retiring in 2000 after 26 years.

MartheAnne made Hampton her home since 2010, when she moved from Delaware to be closer to her son and grandchildren.

Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving family members include her son John Peter MacDougall and his wife Rebecca of North Hampton, NH; sister Susan Keegan and her husband Tom Rice of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Pat, Joe, Wylie, and Thomas MacDougall all of North Hampton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother William “Teddy” Keegan III and sister Mary B. Powers.

At MartheAnne’s request all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her name may be made to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33134.
