Condolence from Kathy Zakarian on April 19th, 2022 1:55 pm

I just now saw the notice on Facebook. I extend my heartfelt condolences to Liuba’s family. I taught English when Liuba taught Portuguese @ TW. She was highly respected & liked by both students & colleagues. We shared a prep one year & we really hit it off. We shared stories, experiences & memories of our pasts, our families, our beliefs. Liuba was a classy lady, a dedicated teacher & mother who added so much richness to those who were lucky enough to know her. May she Rest In Peace & God Bless Michael, Lisa & grandchildren. 🙏

I worked with Liuba during her years at Tulare Western. She was great fun to talk with, spoke her mind, and had a positive outlook on life. I always admired her effortless style, which I was happy to see in the home that she made for herself in Maine. May love, faith, and beautiful memories give you strength.

Please accept my condolences. I taught French at Tulare Union and Western high
school where Liuba was teaching Portuguese.
We became close friends. Libya loved her family very much and I was happy to know that she ended up living very close to her daughter’s Lisa and her family. Liuba loved life and teaching was her passion.
I have wonderful memories of her. I remember the hard time she experienced after Ron’s accident and death. My sisters and my children remember well. She will be missed by all.

My heartfelt condolences to Liuba’s family -Michael, Lisa, Sasha, etc. I was so blessed to have sweet Senhora Gallucci as my Portuguese teacher three years in high school at Tulare Western. Our friendship grew and we kept in touch for many years after I graduated and got married. One of my favorite memories was after Ronald passed away, she and I went to Three Rivers for lunch and afterwards spent hours visiting at her home. After she moved to South Berwick with her family, we continued to keep on touch thru Facebook. She went thru a lot with her back surgery but remained very strong thru it all. She was indeed one of a kind, precious friend, teacher and will be truly missed. Her Brazilian accent (as she talked highly of Brazil), her sweet smile and lovely memories of her, will be forever in my heart. Rest in Paradise Liuba.
