Leonard K. Weston

Amesbury, MA – Leonard Kendrick Weston, 79, of Amesbury, passed away on October 22, 2019 in his home.

Leonard “Lenny” was born in Lawrence, MA on June 22, 1940. He served in the Army as a Cryptographer from 1957 to 1964, and he worked as a Calibrator at Raytheon for 35 years. Lenny was an avid long-distance runner and bowler for many years, and he was an enthusiastic fan of horse racing. He also had a passion for reading books about science, religion, existentialism, and alien visitations. His favorite TV program was The Big Bang Theory. Lenny enjoyed and looked forward to spending time with his children and grandchildren during holidays and other family gatherings.

Leonard Weston is survived by his daughter Wendy Weston and her partner Ann Bizarro of New Bedford, MA; his daughter Stacy Cullen (Weston) and her husband Patrick Cullen of Haverhill, MA; his daughter Erica Talanian (Weston) and her husband Jeffrey Talanian of Sandown, NH; and his former spouse, Betty Weston, of Methuen, MA. He is also survived by his sister Ann Kayo (Weston), his brother John Weston and John’s wife Priscilla, and several nieces and nephews. Grandchildren include Logan Talanian, Tyler Cullen, Saige Cullen, and Skye Talanian. Leonard is predeceased by his parents Leon Weston and Helen Weston (Paolino), and sisters, Geraldine Ivanovitch, and Joan Cipriani.

Leonard’s immediate family intend to gather for a small, private celebration of his life, where we are sure to enjoy many laughs and anecdotal tales about Lenny, who will continue to make us smile for many years. Lenny was a kind and gentle soul who will always be remembered by those who loved him.
