Portsmouth – Kathleen “Jo” Landry, 79, of Portsmouth, died peacefully in her sleep and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 23 2016 surrounded by loving family at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
She was born January 14, 1937 in Athens, PA a daughter of the late Eberlin L. and Opal Marie (Smith) Brewer.
Mrs. Landry was schooled at Sayre High School and trained at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia to become a Registered Nurse.
Kathleen enjoyed traveling with her husband to many different naval ports for the first 20 years of his career, before settling in Portsmouth. She worked in the clown ministry for a number of years and was also a dedicated volunteer for many years who especially enjoyed working with children. She served the Lord in many different places and was very grateful for the Lord allowing her the opportunity to spread his love and grace.
Family members include her husband Ernest T. Landry, whom she married in 1957; 4 children, David, Susan, Christopher and Joy and her sister Mary Covert.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Patricia L. Lloyd.
At Kathleen’s request all services will be private.

She was always remembering our child care center and was generous in supporting our fundraisers and sending in munchkins for the teachers. She was such a sweet and kind person who’s Christian witness impacted those around her.
