Epping, NH – Joseph J. Marion, 63, passed away peacefully on March 21,2022, at Exeter Hospital after brief illness.

He was born in Elmira, NY, on January 9, 1959, and was raised in the Binghamton, NY area. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served for 20 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. Upon moving to New Hampshire, he worked as a defense contractor at Hanscom Air Force Base.

Joe achieved a personal goal when he became active in the Masonic organization and valued giving back to his local community. He served as the Master of Major General John Sullivan Lodge #2 in Epping, NH, and was a past Commander of Dewitt Clinton Commandery #2 in Portsmouth NH.

Joe was passionate about music and played guitars and piano. He was a huge Boston sports fan following the Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being by a campfire with friends.

He is pre-deceased by his parents, Joseph and Rosaleen (Rafter) Marion. In addition, he is survived by his life partner, Susie Sullivan of Epping, NH. His daughters, Kelly Marion of Hooksett, NH, Lynn Wheeler and her husband Ryan of Rochester, NH, and his four grandchildren, Madelyn, Raelynn, Owen, and Azhelia. In addition, brother, Brian Marion of Windsor, NY, sisters Rosaleen Marion of Fenore, Ireland, Maureen Stroka and husband David of Port Crane, NY, and Kathleen Kobylak and husband Bill of Ballston Spa, NY, along with many nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by all. A celebration of life will be forthcoming.
