Newbury, MA- John S. O’Connell Jr., 85, of Newbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
Condolences for the family of “John S. O’Connell Jr.”
I had the pleasure of knowing John professionally but on quite a few occasions i would sit in his office and listen to him tell stories about hiking adventures with his good fried Jack. John had a good temperament and always seemed willing to help someone when he could. To some he may have seemed like a gruff kind of guy until they got to know him and discovered how generous and kind he really was. Happy trails, John.
I’m so very sorry to hear of John O’Connell’s passing. I worked with him professionally, but considered him a friend and mentor. He told me many wonderful stories of his life over the years. He will be missed.
