Newburyport, MA – John E. Arnold, Sr., 80 of Newburyport, passed away suddenly on August 8^th 2021, at Country Health and Rehabilitation in Newburyport, surrounded by family. John was born in West Newbury, MA on August 7, 1941, the son of the late William and Josephine (Mucha) Arnold.  John met his wife LaRena (Buckley) Arnold in 1965 and they shared 55 years together.

John was retired from the City of Newburyport DPW and the Newburyport Housing Authority.

In addition to his beloved LaRena, John is survived by his children Tina Noyes and her husband

Stephen of Newburyport, John Arnold Jr of Kensington, NH, Jason Arnold and James Arnold and his wife Nicole of Newburyport.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren Ashley Noyes of Newburyport, Stephanie and her husband Spenser Noyes of Glenburn, ME, MacKenzie, Emily and Olivia Arnold of Kingston, NH, and Liam and Alexis Arnold of Newburyport. He also leaves his sisters Beverly Mavrofrides of Haverhill and Mary Garcia and her husband Hector of Phoenix, AZ and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and his beloved dog Moochie.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Robert Arnold of Plaistow, NH and brother-in-law Michael Mavrofrides of Haverhill, MA.
