James D. Vienneau

Exeter, NH – James David Vienneau Sr., 78, of Exeter, NH and a former longtime resident of Lynn, MA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 with loving family at his bedside.  James was born on December 26, 1939 in Lynn, MA, a son of the late Edward and Ella (Melanson) Vienneau.

Jim was raised in Lynn MA and attended Saint Mary’s High School.  He began singing harmony when he was 8 years old.  Jim had a fantastic singing voice and was a member of the Barbershop Quartet Community.  He was perhaps best known as the baritone for The Four Rascals Barbershop Quartet and had performed throughout the United States.  The group earned several International Competition Medals. He also worked as a carpenter for 45 years and retired from The Hall Company of Lynn, MA in 2010.

Family members include his wife of over 56 years, Lois (Page) Vienneau of Exeter, his children, Lisa Mini and her husband, Bruce of Groveland, MA, James Vienneau Jr. and his wife Mary of Newfields, NH and Mark Vienneau and his wife, Alene of Groveland, MA. He also leaves his grandchildren, Jordan Dillon and her husband, Sean, Alexandra Mini, Sarah Mini, Samuel Vienneau, Brooke Vienneau, Haley Vienneau, Virginia Vienneau, Natalie Vienneau and Hilde Vienneau and his siblings, Robert Vienneau of Revere, MA and Eileen Murphy and her husband, Thomas of Manchester, MA.

In addition to his parents, his sister, Lorraine Dexter and his brothers, Edward and Richard Vienneau, predeceased Jim.

A graveside service will be held at Exeter Cemetery, Linden St, Exeter, NH 03833 on Saturday, Oct 20th at 11am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following organizations:
