Kingston, NH – Mrs. Florence M. Anketell, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover. She was 71.
She was born and raised in Lynn, MA and graduated from Lynn Classical High School. She enjoyed many roles in her career, from her bookkeeping positions at Steven’s Quality Instruments and Cabot House to her much-loved position at Jennifer’s Hallmark where she had the opportunity to do a little window designing. She was a member of the Kingston Area Junior Women’s Club for several years where she enjoyed adding value to the community in which she lived.
Florence (Flo) leaves behind her husband and best friend of 39 years, William Anketell. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Natalie Jacobs and her husband James of Raymond. She also leaves behind her dear friend Fred Drelick of Kingston who was always by her side.
One could always find Flo putting her finishing touches on something, whether it be a printed napkin at a dinner table or adding “bling” to a friend’s gift. Although not a fan of winter, she loved the summer and would spend all day in her garden, something that will continue to bloom year after year. What she cherished the most were people. Whether it be her family and friends or a total stranger. She would often show her appreciation by delivering bags of chocolate to all who touched her life.
At the family’s request all services shall be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hyder Family Hospice House, c/o Friends of Hyder Family Hospice House, 285 County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820.

Dear Cousin Flo,
You were the sister I never had. I could always count on you to make me laugh and sometimes shed a tear or two but never far from my heart. Memories of time spent together, letters we wrote over all those years whether in the same town or many miles apart. Warm thoughts of you will stay in my heart forever.
Always loved you,
Sharon

Bill, Natalie, and family,
There are no words to express the sadness and sense of loss we are feeling with Flo’s passing. She was a member of our family, not through blood, but because we found each each other.
May you find comfort in the memories shared. She loved you all deeply.
With deepest sympathy and love,
Jane and Glenn
