Haverhill, MA - Catherine “Debbie” Thistle, 74 of Haverhill, MA, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Danville, NH on Thursday, February 22, 2018 after a period of declining health.
Catherine was born in Somerville, MA on August 28, 1943 to the late Augustus and Rose Alves. 
She was predeceased by her loving husband Richard “Dick” Thistle. Catherine leaves behind her three children, sons Steven Smith of Manchester, NH and Todd Smith and wife Dorinda of Old Lyme, CT and her daughter Michelle Croteau and husband Gary of Danville, NH. She was also a loving Nana to her four grandchildren, Neil and Ned Smith and Chloe and Kathryn Croteau who she found great joy in spending time with. She was also known by many as simply “Nana”. Debbie always found a reason to laugh and to make others laugh along with her. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. The family will share details of a celebration of life in Debbie’s honor once final arrangements have been made.

I am so sorry for your loss. I used to babysit for Debbie many years ago in Stoneham.
I was able to spend a little time with her in Haverhill, always fun and full of laughs. She loved her family and friends. She will be missed. Sending prayer to the family.

She is now resting in peace her and her first husband rented a house from my mother in Medford Mass on Andrews Street for 2 years she was a very nice person she went to school with my uncle in Somerville Mass
May god be with her family you are all in my prays always remember the good times you had with her
