Condolence from Donna Hoyt on July 9th, 2020 4:32 pm

Dear Carole and family
So sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing. He was much loved and appreciated by Bill and I. I so loved the letters he wrote to me. I am going to miss him. He was quite the character and loved his family.
Love Donna and Bill

Condolence from Ruthann Van De Pitte on July 9th, 2020 4:42 pm

Carol: I am so sad that Bruce has passed. It was difficult for him and for you not to be able to be with each other because of the COVID restrictions at the nursing home. I spoke to him many times, and he told me how much he didn’t want to leave you alone. Memories and times keep running through my head. Peace to you. You took such good care of him over the years. Ruthann

Condolence from Bill Russo – Cousin on July 9th, 2020 10:44 pm

My Cousin Bruce was more than a cousin, he was a pal of my youth. A fellow adventurer with a cap gun, a bow and arrow, rubber Bowie knife, and many other staples of young boys born in age vastly different (the 1940s) than this strange 21st century. His Mom and Dad, my aunt and uncle, always allowed and encouraged us to play as children ought to play – for they knew that youth is fleeting and once gone it cannot be re-captured except in memory. Thanks to them I have wonderful memories numbering in the thousands, of Cousin Bruce.

Condolence from Judy and Larry Smith on July 10th, 2020 11:57 am

Dear Carole and family, Although we only met a couple of times feel so badly for your loss. Cousin Bruce is only 5 years younger than I and remember well as children the fun times we had at Aunt Ruth and Uncle Eric’s home in Malden. Always loved Bruce and called him My Big Teddy Bear! He always wrote long letters to us (Larry and me) with his memories so strong in his mind – always had Uncle Harry and my mother Aunt Mabel written in detail, especially my Mom and her piano playing. Tried a few times to reach him by phone after Donna told me of his stroke but he never “picked up”, so wrote to him and gave him our phone # but he never responded. Such a shock to hear of his passing, but he’s now out of pain and with his Mom and Dad and brother Ricky. God Bless with Love,
Judy and Larry
